You can drink Kava Tea hot or cold, however the temperature above 140 Degrees Fahrenheit is said to breakdown the goodness in Kava. So keep the temperature down low, or opt for cold tea instead. A crockpot tea is a good idea where you can regulate the temperature and keep it at 120 degrees, or less. The Kava powder is allowed to steep for a while, before being consumed.

Want to add some flavor to it? Feel free to use creamer – Coconut Milk, Cow’s Milk or even Organic Soy Milk. They all work and improve the taste of your tea. When steeping in Milk, you will need 30 minutes, in water 45 minutes. Remember – heating Coconut Milk isn’t good, so add HOT water along with Coconut Milk so your tea will remain warm.

For cold tea, just leave the water along with the tea powder in your refrigerator overnight. When powdering Kava Root, make sure to grind it as finely as you can. This makes getting all the nutrients easier. Once your tea is ready, filter and enjoy!
