Want your hair to look shiny and voluminous, instead of limp and greasy? Here are few natural remedies you can try to achieve that.
When you have Oily or Greasy hair, it is not that fun! Don’t you agree? It looks limp, styling is difficult, gets dirty easily and what not! But with few simple ingredients, you can achieve pH balance of your scalp and get your hair shiny and manageable, once more. Ready to know what they are?
Lemons
We all know Lemons are known to restore pH balance and for this reason, it is a great aid for those with greasy or oily hair. Just take juice from 3 Lemons and mix it with a liter of water and use it as your rinse. Rinse out with cold water after a minute or two.
Vinegar
Add a cup of Vinegar for a liter of water and use it as your rinse. While Vinegar doesn’t smell all that great, I never felt the smell once I rinse out and my hair dries. However, just in case, make sure you rinse out well with cold water.
Aloe Vera
Just mix one spoon of Aloe Vera to the shampoo you use. This works, though you can also use Aloe Vera juice as your rinse.
Egg
While not many like the prospect of applying Eggs on their hair, it can work wonders for your hair. Just beat 2 Yolks and use that as your mask. You can add a few drops of Lemon Juice to beaten Yolk for best results. Make sure there’s no residue and you rinse out well.
ACV
Unlike Vinegar, ACV doesn’t smell bad. Besides, many say it leaves a nice apple fragrance once it is rinsed out. You can add 2 – 3 spoons of ACV to a liter of water and use it as your rinse.
Tea
Nothing beats Tea when it comes to hair care. Boil a spoon of Tea Leaves in water and dilute it with a liter of water and use it as your rinse. Alternatively, you can also apply the strongly brewed tea and let it sit for a few minutes before washing out your hair. Both works.
Honey
For two spoons of Honey, take an Egg Yolk. Beat both together well and apply as a mask. Wash off after 20 minutes. Do this twice a week, though it would take a couple of times before you see results with this method.
Baking Soda
Add a Cup of Baking Soda to a liter of Water and use it as your rinse. Alternatively, you can make a paste with Baking Soda and water and use it as your shampoo! The results are great when you use shampoo after using this on your scalp, though once a week would do.
Fuller’s Earth
Use Fuller’s Earth to wash your hair. Yes, this can be used instead of your shampoo and it is a very good cleanser too. Just make a paste with water and rinse off after 10 – 15 minutes, follow-up with a cold-water rinse.
Many say Fuller’s Earth leaves them with very dry hair and scalp, in that case, look at alternatives or use Yogurt to make a paste with Fuller’s Earth instead of water. That usually takes care of dryness.
Tomato
Take juice from one Tomato, and add enough Fuller’s Earth and water to make a paste. Use this to wash your scalp, once a week.
Banana
We all know Banana can give you silky hair. Take a Banana along with four tablespoons of Honey and use this mixture as your hair mask. Wash off after 20 minutes. Do this twice a week, at least.
