Why These Ingredients?

I would say this is more like a cross between mask and scrub. It’s a simple but effective scrub that’s also nourishing and promotes hair growth.

Aloe Vera Gel is a very good ingredient for hair and scalp care. It is widely used for hair growth and nourishment in Ayurveda and is an excellent moisturizer. It is a great healing accelerator, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. All these are great properties to care when you’re looking for hair and scalp care.

Unrefined cane sugar is natural and retains the nutrients and minerals as it is not chemically processed and is softer than table white sugar that most use. Softness and the nutrients make it a great cleaner and nourishing ingredient in this recipe.

Himalayan Pick Salt is another mineral rich ingredient that makes this recipe even more goodness filled. You can get powdered variants that have smaller crystals so it is easier to scrub or you can crush the crystals using a rolling pin.

Argan Oil is one of our mainstay ingredients and doesn’t need an introduction or expansion here.

We have already covered how to infuse oils, so it’s just a quick recap here. Infuse the Olive Oil with Rosemary Leaves – you can either heat it mild, or keep it in sun after adding dried rosemary leaves. It should take a day or two to infuse or more, depending on the season.

How to Use it?

Apply this on your scalp and let it sit for 7 – 15 minutes before washing off.

Don’t forget to condition afterwards. A rice water rinse is ideal, though not required.
