Shelf Life

You can keep this refrigerated and use for five days to a week. So prepare accordingly.

How to Use the Spray?

Just spray on your hair – keep the sprayer a good 7 – 10 cm. from your hair before you start spraying – this covers more strands and also, doesn’t’ weigh down your hair as you just spray very less this way.

Why These Ingredients?

Nourishing and light, this spray can work wonders for dry or damaged hair. It can nurture, nourish and moisturize your hair and bring it to it’s shiny and healthy glow in no time.

Glycerin the Humectant in this recipe is the real deal when you want to add moisture and hydrate to your hair or skin. Unlike Honey, this doesn’t lighten your hair making it ideal for those with dark or light hair.

Avocado adds shine and sheen besides nurturing and nourishing your hair. It’s called the natural silicone for a reason. It’s one of the best oils for dry, ageing or damaged hair.

Argan Oil needs no introduction and Sweet Almond Oil is another nourishing but light oil that can do a world of good for dry hair.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

If you have thinning hair, skip the Vitamin E Oil as both Argan and Sweet Almond Oil are rich in Vitamin E.

You can use other light and non-greasy carrier oils like Sesame Oil, Apricot Oil, Organic Soya or Sunflower Oil, etc.

You can use any Essential Oil though I chose Lavender to soothe and calm though I couple it with Myrrh or Frankincense for rejuvenation.

Having that said, the oils like every other ingredient are your preference and in most cases can be swapped for similar ingredients. So feel free to tweak and play around with the recipe to come up with something that’s personalized for you and suits your better. That’s the most important part we all love about DIY, right?
