Beer Spa
Leave a pint of Flat Beer open overnight. When you take it in the morning, there’s no fizz or aeration. After washing your hair like you do, pour the beer over your hair. Massage for a minute or two and then, rinse off. You can do this twice a month. The hops and malt in beer are said to repair damaged hair and also add volume to hair. The sugar adds shine and it is considered a conditioning treatment that leaves your hair stunning. This is suitable for all hair types.
Olive Oil Hair Spa
Is your hair? Time to give it some loving! Beat an Egg (yolk and white) and add a spoon of Honey and 3 Tbsp. of Olive Oil to it. Mix well and apply as a mask after steaming your hair for about 10 minutes. Let it sit for 15 – 20 minutes before rinsing off with tepid water and washing your hair. You can do this once every week till your hair is healthy and happy! This treatment will leave your hair conditioned, soft and extremely manageable. This is good for all hair types and particularly ideal for dry or damaged hair.
Cucumber Hair Spa
Blend ½ Cucumber along with ¼ Cup of Olive Oil in a fine paste. Apply this as a mask after steaming your hair for about 10 minutes. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing off your hair. You can do this once a week. This is suitable for all hair types, though particularly ideal for weak or lacklustre hair. This treatment will condition and strengthen your hair, leaving it shiny and enhanced.
Henna Hair Spa
Remember Henna is also cooling, so if you don’t want that, you can skip this treatment. Take 2 Tsp. each of Shikakai Powder (Hair Fruit), Indian Gooseberry Powder, Reetha Powder (Soap Nuts), a spoon of Margosa (Neem) Leaf Powder and 2 Tbsp. of Henna Powder in a mixing bowl. Make a paste using Yogurt (to prevent drying, if you have dry hair) or water and set aside. Steam your hair for about 10 minutes and apply this mixture as a mask. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour before washing off. You can do this twice a month. It is important to understand that this mask can stain your hair and suitable for dark hair – brunette, dark brown, brown or black hair.
Henna will unclog your pores and get rid of excess oil and dirt from your scalp, while also conditioning your hair and sealing cuticles. This packs also gets rid of dandruff and improves scalp health and hair texture. This is ideal for those with oily or flaky scalp.
Fenugreek Hair Spa
Is your hair dull? It is time for this hair spa treatment. Soak a Tbsp. of Fenugreek Seeds overnight and grind it to a fine paste the next morning, with ¼ cup of Yogurt and a spoon of Honey. Steam your hair for 10 minutes and apply this paste to your hair. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse off with tepid water, followed by hair wash. You can do this once a week to keep dandruff, excess oil and other scalp problems at bay. This strengthens hair, reverses damage and leaves your hair silky and strong.
