Why These Ingredients?
Buriti Fruit Oil is one of the ancient hair care remedies used in Alternative Medicine for restoring damaged hair, particularly hair damaged due to sun or free radicals.
Neem Oil though the smell can be off-putting, is a wonderful hair care aid that promotes better hair growth, strengthens hair and also, helps combat itchy scalp or other scalp issues.
Black Seed Oil is one of the best ingredients for hair care, which strengthens hair, promotes hair growth and prevents hair thinning.
Citrioda Oil, also called Lemon Eucalyptus Oil is a nourishing hair growth stimulating Oil that also smells great. It smells like Eucalyptus and Lemon combined, so counters the odor of Neem Oil and probably Black Seed Oil, so a good addition. Besides, it stimulates your scalp and can promote better hair growth and circulation.
Rose Water smells great and the floral fragrance counters the odor of Neem Oil considerably. Besides, it is also a great hydrating and soothing agent, which does wonders for your hair sheen and shine.
Tips to Tweak the Recipe
You can add more of Citrioda Oil to counter the odor of Neem Oil or Black Seed Oil, if needed. It is a well-known and widely used hair care ingredient in Alternative Medicine.
You can use Sweet Almond Oil or even Jojoba Oil, if you don’t want to use Coconut Oil.
You can add a few drops of Green Tea if you have Oily Hair. Besides, rich in antioxidants, it is a great healing ingredient that will enrich this recipe.
You can skip the Neem Oil if the odor is off-putting or affects your social or work life – some find the odor offensive and don’t prefer using it before heading out. I suggest you try altering the recipe to see if you can counter the smell, before deciding to skip it.
Not many prefer the odor of Black Seed Oil, too. But the addition of Rose Water and Citrioda takes care of it. However, you can add a few drops of woodsy and strong Essential Oils like Spikenard, Myrrh or even Cedarwood to counter it.
