Tips to Tweak the Recipe
You can also use Witch Hazel if you have oily hair or scalp instead of Glycerin.
I like adding a dah of Rosemary Antioxidant Extract or Lavender Hydrosol to this Detangler.
You can choose any Essential Oil you prefer.
Yes, you can use Aloe Gel but add it to your blender along with water and make juice from it before adding to the recipe.
You can use fresh aloe but the shelf life will differ and you should monitor it for any changes or prepare fresh batch every few days.
If you have thin hair and don’t want to weight down hair Aloe Gel isn’t a god best, Aloe Juice works best. But with natural hair, dry hair and good volume, you can consider using Aloe Gel after blending it for smooth consistency – even gel doesn’t weigh down thinning hair but some say it does. So test and see what you like and then go based on that.
Shelf Life
I use the detangler only for a few days so haven’t really pushed to find how long it lasts. I assume it should last good for a couple of weeks if not more.
How to Use the Detangler?
Spray the detangler on your hair and style as usual. Just spray lightly and keep the spritzer fairly far from your head to spritz lightly.
For thin hair you should be able to spritz it on your comb and comb through.
