After the hectic festive season, pamper yourself with a deep conditioning and nourishing Argan Head Massage. Ready, everyone?
Hope you all enjoyed the festive season and holidays. However, with festivities, outings and guests, your schedule was probably more packed than usual and you are about ready to relax. Try this nourishing and deep conditioning massage for relaxation, while also strengthening your hair.
The recipe itself is very simple, so shall we get started?
Ingredients
Mustard Oil – 4 Tbsp.
Coconut Oil – 4 Tbsp.
Argan Oil – 1 Tsp.
Neem Oil – 1 Tsp.
Fenugreek Seeds – 1 Tsp.
Garlic – 1
Instructions
Crush the garlic and fenugreek seeds in a mortar and pestle. Set aside.
In a heavy bottomed pan, add Coconut Oil, Neem Oil and Mustard Oil along with the crushed Fenugreek Seeds and Garlic Clove.
Once the oil is infused with the ingredients, remove from heat and set aside. When slightly cooled down, add the Argan Oil.
You can strain if you prefer clear oil, when slightly warm.
Your massage oil is ready!
How to Use the Oil?
If you crush the garlic and fenugreek finely, you don’t have to filter it. I however filter it more often, than not.
When the oil is slightly warm, start massaging your scalp with this oil.
Make sure to cover every nook and corner of your scalp, starting from the hairline in front, to the hairline in the nape of your neck.
Apply the oil generously using your fingertips and when you’ve coated your scalp fully, start massaging.
Massage for a few minutes and then, wrap your head with a shower cap.
Wait for at least 30 minutes before you head for shower.
Remember: Using herbal hair wash powder or a natural and mild shampoo is better and enhances the results of the massage.
Tips to Tweak the Recipe
I have chosen simpler ingredients that are available everywhere, anytime. But if you have specific preferences, you can swap the ingredients to suit your preference and requirement.
You can use any hair strengthening and nourishing carrier oils like Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sesame Oil, etc.
You can also use herb-infused oils for better results. A few herbs you can consider include Holy Basil, Curry Leaves, Moringa Leaves, False Daisy Leaves, Hibiscus, Rosemary, etc.
Since this is a pre-shower routine, you can add Vitamin E Oil for added benefits, in case you don’t use it otherwise, as it denser.
You can add a drop of Peppermint EO for stimulating your scalp and also, to feel refreshed, as against tired after a shower.
Why This Recipe?
Using rich and nourishing ingredients, which also combat different hair and scalp problems, this recipe can restore your hair health and shine.
