Dandruff can be a persistent problem. The dry flakes spreading all over your hair or your attire can be embarrassing and restrict your social life.
Good thing, there’s a way to take charge of your life and keep dandruff under control. This is a natural but traditional recipe and works wonders for your hair, scalp and keeps both healthy.
Ingredients
Coconut Oil – 500 Ml
Curry Leaves – 2 Handfuls
Humming Bird Tree Leaves – a handful
Henna Leaves – 1 Cup
Hibiscus Flowers – 25
Indian Pennywort Leaves – 2 Cups
Sesame Seeds – ¼ Cup
Indian Gooseberry –7
Ridge Gourd – ¼ Cup
Fenugreek Seeds – ¼ Cup
Instructions
Wash and towel dry all the ingredients – Henna Leaves, Curry Leaves, Humming Bird Leaves, Gooseberry, Hibiscus Flowers & Indian Pennywort Leaves.
For Hibiscus Flowers – you can remove the pollen stick before rinsing.
Chop deseeded Indian Gooseberries and Ridge Gourd and set aside.
Heat the oil in a deep and heavy bottomed pan
When the oil is sizzling hot, add the chopped Indian Gooseberry pieces and Ridge Gourd pieces.
When the moisture is fully removed – the sizzling stops at this stage, add dry ingredients – Sesame Seeds & Fenugreek Seeds.
Add all the remaining ingredients one after the other and finally add Hibiscus Flowers.
Heat it in low flame – simmering will take about 15 – 25 minutes. You will know the oil is ready when the color changes to green or deep green.
Remove from heat, filter and set aside to cool down.
Transfer to a sterilized glass bottle when it fully cools down.
Done!
How to Use the Oil?
Apply this to clean scalp – after washing and air drying your hair.
Apply with your fingers in circular motions.
Massage for a few seconds after applying.
You can also use this as a pre-shower oil – In that case, leave it for at least 45minutes if not overnight.
Apply this 2 – 3 times a week, regularly.
It would take a couple of months before you notice difference in your hair volume, growth, etc.
