DIY Cedar Frizz Fix

Frizzy hair can take the fun out of any ride or day if you have to deal with before, or after. A little help can go a long way in getting it sorted real quick without pulling out your hair.

Frizzy hair can break very easily. If you’re pulling too hard, you might end up pulling out your hair or bunch of them! If you’re looking for a quick fix applying Argan Oil over your hair, waiting for a minute and then trying to fix it can help. If you have more time to pamper your hair then this frizz fixing pack is just for you!

Ingredients

Avocado – ½ – 1 fruit

Argan Oil – 1 Tsp.

Avocado Oil – 1 Tsp.

Glycerin – 2 – 4 Tbsp.

Cedarwood Essential Oil – a few drops

Instructions

In your blender whisk together Chopped Avocado (you can take ½ fruit or the whole fruit depending on your hair length) along with Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Glycerin and Cedarwood Essential Oil.

It takes a few seconds to blend the ingredients fully.

Transfer to a bowl.

Done!

How to Use the Pack?

Take the mixture and apply it on your hair and scalp using a brush. Cover till the tip of your hair working your way from the root / scalp. Once fully covered wrap your head with a shower cap.

You can apply heat using your dryer or sit out in the sun for a few minutes.

You can wash off after 15 minutes.

Rinse your hair and condition as usual.

Let your hair air dry and enjoy the silky, shiny and pampered hair that’s frizz free!

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can add Banana to this recipe – it helps tame frizz and adds nourishment and volume to hair.

Whole eggs are great though I don’t like adding it here. If you want to add it to add volume to your hair and deal with frizz whisk it thoroughly before adding the other ingredients. The eggs should be whisked really well. You can use one egg and at most two.

You can also use Coconut Oil instead of Avocado Oil in this recipe.

You can use Honey instead of Glycerin – I use Glycerin because their properties are similar and Glycerin doesn’t lighten hair like Honey does.

Aloe Vera is a good addition to this recipe.

Yogurt is a good addition to this recipe.

Irrespective of the ingredients chosen for the recipe feel free to tweak around with the options listed under tweaking and those that aren’t too! You know what’s good for your hair, what’s available and what you can use better than anyone else. So try out different variations and see what works best for you and your hair. As long as you come up with a recipe that works to keep you frizz-free and your locks shiny and healthy, everything’s good.
