DIY Beard Growth Oil

Want your man to sport stunning beard? There’s an oil for that, want to know?

Stubble gives men a nice look, especially for those who like that sophisticated or bad boy looks that it can give – depending on the beard style. This way or that, growing out beard swiftly isn’t difficult. Here’s a simple and easy recipe that uses essential oils that will promote or accelerate beard growth, while also giving it a softer and shiny look. Ready for the recipe?

I wanted the oil to smell enticing, while also being masculine enough for a beard oil. I also wanted it to combat hair loss and reduce stress. So, here’s what I came up. Feel free to try it out, tweak and let us know your results.

Ingredients

Jojoba Oil – 30 Ml
Castor Oil – 5 Ml
Argan Oil – 1 Tsp.
Cinnamon Essential Oil – 2 Drops
Tea Tree Essential Oil – 2 Drops
Rosemary Essential Oil – 2 Drops
Peppermint Essential Oil – 2 Drops
Myrrh Essential Oil – 2 Drops

Myrrh Essential Oil

Instructions

Take a sterilized dark amber glass and add all the ingredients listed above.

Shake gently and let it sit for two days.

Voila!

How to Use the Beard Oil?

Apply it daily either at night, or during the day.

Gently massage the oil and continue massaging for a few seconds.

Comb or groom it and you’re done.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

If you find the aroma strong, or the concentration of essential oils strong, feel free to reduce or swap it for other oils you are comfortable with.

You can use any carrier oil you like, instead of Jojoba Oil. I have used Jojoba Oil as it is light and gets absorbed easily and suits all skin types.

Castor Oil is optional, so if you want it lighter reduce or eliminate Castor Oil from the ingredients.

As for the essential oils, feel free to tweak them according to your taste, preference or requirements.

You can also add a few drops of Vitamin E Oil to this recipe. It also promotes better beard growth and keeps the beard soft and healthy.

You can also a few drops of Almond Oil – as it has biotin and promotes better beard growth.

Caution

Make sure to do a skin test before you start using the oil. The essential oils used here – cinnamon especially, can irritate the skin. Doing a patch test can help identifying if you are allergic, or if you are sensitive to it in the concentration given above. Based on that, you can tweak the recipe to suit you.

Expect tingling when you apply this oil – mild tingling or slight burning sensation is OK and perfectly normal considering we are adding peppermint and cinnamon. But it shouldn’t irritate your skin or leave you with an inflammation or itch.

Why These Ingredients?

Aromatic and effective, this beard oil promotes beard growth, fights hair loss, oxidative damage and also keeps fungal issues at bay. What more can you ask for? Don’t have time for DIY Recipes? Try HY Vitamins Argan Enriched Hair and Skin Products for healthy hair and scalp.
