We all long for a relaxing spa experience, but how many of us have the time to go to a spa? Holidays and relaxation has become a tough ask with hectic lifestyle taking a toll. Try this nourishing DIY Argan Oil Massage Blend for relaxing and rejuvenating your mind and body.

Ingredients

Argan Oil – 2 Tbsp.
Sweet Almond Oil – 2 Tbsp.
Wheat Germ Oil – 1 Tsp.
Evening Primrose Oil – 1 Tsp.
Lavender Essential Oil – a few drops

Method

In a mixing bowl, combine the oils.

Close the bowl with a lid and let it sit for few minutes.

Apply it after dry brushing, for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Tweaking the Recipe

You can vary the ingredients to suit your skin and requirement better.

I have used Argan Oil and Sweet Almond Oil as the base oils. Wheat Germ Oil and Evening Primrose Oil help with skin health and reduce the appearance of scars or help heal skin naturally. It is great for mature and aging skin, though suitable for anyone.

I used Lavender Essential Oil as it smells great and relaxes mind and body well. However, you can any other essential oil of your choice.

We have written a lot about Argan Oil in our previous posts and it needs no introduction. However, it is a great moisturizer and toner. It has infinite benefits for skin and hair, so a staple in many beauty products. It is known for its anti-aging properties and helps retain skin’s elasticity.

It is used to treat several skin problems including eczema and psoriasis, dry and peeling skin, etc. It is also great for reducing scars and stretch marks. What’s not to like about it? Though pricey, a few drops are all your need to get this nourishing oil work wonders for your skin.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet Almond Oil is used in many skincare products and quite popular with many. Do you know it mimics the oil found in baby’s skin and considered to help retain skin’s youthfulness longer?

It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, making it a wonderful skin emollient. It is light and doesn’t leave a greasy residue with application. It is an excellent make-up remover, so you can swap this for pricey makeup removers.

It helps reduce dark circles or under eye circles, improves skin texture, eliminates dead cells and relaxes your body. It also helps reverse sun inflicted damage, eliminates fine lines and wrinkles and delays aging skin signs. It reduces skin irritation and inflammation, a reason why it is used to treat eczema or psoriasis.

Wheat Germ Oil

Those with wheat allergy are advised against using this oil! However, this is great oil for all others. Rich in nutrients, it is a great skin nourisher and moisturizer. It hydrates and moisturizes the skin, besides keeping skin healthy.

Though it has shorter shelf life, it could be refrigerated for added shelf life. It is rich in antioxidants, so helps reverse skin damage due to sun exposure or aging.

It tightens the skin, a reason why it is added to anti-aging products. It helps prevent and lighten scars, besides healing damaged skin. It also promotes skin regeneration and rejuvenation.

Owing to its nerve boosting properties, it is considered great when you want an instant mood-lift. It is also said to aid with treating dermatitis.

Evening Primrose Oil

Topically applied, Evening Primrose Oil is proven to help with aches and pains, due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

It is used to treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, etc. It is also said to relieve itching and inflammation.

It stimulates blood circulation, so keeps skin healthy and nourished.

Rich in antioxidants, it is known for its anti-aging benefits. Want to reduce wrinkles and fine lines? Evening Primrose Oil is the way to go! It is also very gentle and suits sensitive skin.

Lavender Essential Oil

You can use any essential oil of your choice, instead of Lavender here. Lavender is relaxing and rejuvenating and also known for its skin beneficial properties. However, relaxing oils like Chamomile, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood or even Sage oils are ideal.
