Tips to Tweak the Recipe
You can use any essential oil – I prefer Mint for the vibrant and refreshing aroma. I also use Lavender, Sage, or Rosemary. I pick based on my moods or requirement.
You can substitute Coconut Oil with a carrier oil of your choice – Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Argan Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Castor Oil, etc.
Note: I prefer fresh Aloe Vera Gel, though you can buy an organic one off the shelves, if you don’t know how to prepare Aloe Gel at home.
Why These Ingredients?
Coconut Oil is one of the best ingredients for your hair. It is nourishing, moisturizing, strengthening and also affordable. It suits most hair and scalp types and is used to combat a range of hair, scalp and skin problems.
Avocado Oil is rich in Vitamins A, E, D & B. As a result it strengthens your hair, curbs breakage, moisturizes and nourishes your hair.
We have spoken a lot about Argan Oil benefits for hair, already. Argan Oil is light and rich in antioxidants and nutrients that rejuvenate, repair and strengthen your hair. It also makes your hair manageable.
Aloe Vera is one of the best ingredients to put on your hair! It makes your hair manageable, hydrates your hair and leaves it smooth and shiny. After all, we are after pricey conditioners for the sheen and shine, right?
How to Use the Conditioner?
Scoop out required quantity using a spoon or spatula and apply the conditioner to your hair strands, after air-drying. Since it is whipped, it doesn’t weight down your hair when applied adequately. You can test out a few strands to determine how it feels on your hair.
You can also use this on your scalp as a nourishing hair cream. The ingredients are good for your hair and scalp and unlike store-bought conditioners, you don’t have to strictly stick to your hair! If you feel your scalp is dry, feel free to massage this into your scalp!
This is not just conditioner – it is extremely nourishing and light. It can strengthen your hair and keep it healthy.
