If you love your curls, this is a must try recipe for getting gorgeous curls with natural ingredients.
So this is a real simple and easy recipe with 5 ingredients to boot! So, let’s get started shall we?
Ingredients
Aloe Vera Gel – ¼ Cup
Shea Butter – ¼ Cup
Coconut Oil – ¼ Cup
Vitamin E Oil – 1 Tsp.
Argan Oil – 1 Tsp.
Instructions
If you have fresh Aloe Leaves, you must prepare the gel. First, wash the Aloe Leaf and let the green fluid drain out fully – you can do this by cutting a strip at the root portion of the leaf. Now, remove the gel and wash it well before you get stated with preparing the gel. Once you get the flesh out, add it to your blender with some Citric Acid Powder and Vitamin E Oil. Once blended your aloe gel is ready for use. You can also buy organic store-bought aloe gel and use for this recipe instead.
Melt the Shea Butter in your double boiler.
When it begins to melt add in the Aloe Vera Gel.
Add in the Coconut Oil and stir to combine.
When fully melted remove from heat and wait till it cools down slightly before adding Vitamin E Oil and Argan Oil.
Refrigerate for a while – the mixture should be cool to touch and slightly translucent but not hard and opaque. Depending on your refrigerator it takes a few minutes to an hour or more.
Once the texture is achieved, remove from the fridge and whisk using your hand blender to a nice fluffy texture.
Done!
Transfer to a sterilized container.
How to Use the Curl Cream?
Apply a dollop of this cream after shower and air drying your hair for stunning curls!
Shelf Life
This lasts for several months without any issues, though prepare smaller batches for freshness and best results. You can halve the recipe if you are going to use it for yourself, or double it if you have loved ones you’re sharing it with.
It could melt a little if you’re in tropical regions. If that happens, chill it for a little but and whip again. Done!
Why Use this Curl Cream?
Unlike store-bought commercial creams this is all—natural and prepared using ingredients that help your hair and scalp.
This doesn’t leave gunk and residue in your scalp or hair or leave your strands wiry or stiff like commercial gels or balms do.
This cream not only gives your stunning curls but also enhances your hair and scalp health.
It’s cheaper and also easy to prepare.
Tips to Tweak the Recipe
You can add essential oils if your choice for added aroma or benefits.
You can use other carrier oils that are good for your hair or scalp instead of coconut oil.
Those who have dry hair, use Cocoa Butter instead of or along with Shea Butter.
You can also use other butters that are good for hair if you prefer them to Shea.
