DIY Argan Oil Moisturizer for Dry Skin

Dry skin needs intense moisture, a reason we are adding special ingredients that can nurture and moisturize dry skin. Ready for the recipe yet?

Ingredients

Argan Oil – 2.5 Tsps.

Avocado Oil – ½ Tsp.

Jojoba Oil – ½ Tsp.

Vitamin E Oil – 1 Tsp.

Cocoa Butter 1 Tsp.

Sea Buckthorn Oil – ½ Tsp.

Helichrysum Essential Oil – 3 – 4 drops

Rosewood Essential Oil – 1 – 2 drops

Lavender Essential Oil – 2 – 3 drops

Roman Chamomile Essential Oil – 8 -10 drops

Method

In a shallow pan, pour ½“water and bring it to a boil.

Ensure the flame is low – medium.

In a thick glass bowl, add the cocoa butter and place it on the shallow pan with boiling water.

Once it is almost melted, switch off the flame. After a few minutes, add Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil and Sea Buckthorn Oil. Stir to combine the ingredients and set aside.

When slightly warm, add the essential oils and mix well.

You’re all set!

Application

Apply to clean face, whenever you think it lacks moisture.

Those with normal skin or combination skin can use this as a winter rescue.

Tweaking the Recipe

We have used Cocoa Butter in this recipe as it is quite easy to find, but those prone to acne can substitute it with Capuacu Butter or Fractionated Coconut Oil.

We have used Jojoba Oil in this recipe, as it is widely available, though you can substitute with other nourishing oils like Kuikuinut Oil.

As for essential oils, you can swap with essential oils that are suitable for dry skin like Neroli, Geranium, Sandalwood and Palma Rosa.

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E, popularly dubbed as Skin Vitamin, is considered as a skin super food and added to many cosmetics. But, do we really know how to use this Vitamin, or when it is useful? Here are the top benefits of this Vitamin, followed by details on how to use it for best results.
