DIY Pumpkin Spice Hair Mask

With weather getting colder by the minute, hair gets a real whiplash. You’re tresses are dry and dull during winter, then this mask is just what you need to spruce it up!

Pumpkin Spice is definitely around during this season, why not use it for making a quick hair mask to pamper and nourish your hair? When we think Christmas, few things come to mind – Santa, Christmas Tree, Stollen, Plum Cakes and Pumpkin Spice of course, among other things. So, how can we use this spice mix in our recipe? Let’s learn about it, shall we?

Ingredients

Pumpkin Cubes – 2 Cups
Yogurt – 2 Tsp.
Honey – 1 Tbsp.
Argan Oil – 2 Tbsp.
Cinnamon Powder – a pinch
Nutmeg Powder – a pinch
Vanilla Essence – a drop
Pepper Powder – a pinch

Instructions

Chop the Pumpkin into small cubes about an inch per piece and let it boil.

When it is cooked (takes a few minutes at most) remove from heat. You can also steam the Pumpkin instead of boiling.

Check the consistency of the Pumpkin – it should be soft and mashable.

Let the mixture cool down after mashing – it is easy to mash while it is slightly warm or hot.

After the mixture cools down add all the other ingredients and mix well.

Done!

How to Use the Mask?

Apply the mixture to your hair and scalp. Massage for a minute or two after apply and make sure you cover from root to tips. Cover your head with a shower cap and let it sit for 15 – 25 minutes. Wash off with tepid water and use a mild shampoo or hair wash powder to wash your hair.
