Ingredients

Olive Oil – 1 Tbsp.
Argan Oil – 1 Tsp.
Pureed Pumpkin – ½ Cup
Cinnamon – ½ – 1 Tsp.
Vanilla Oil – a drop or two
Vitamin E Oil – 1 Capsule

Instructions

Puree a few pieces of pumpkin – you need about ½ cup of Pumpkin Puree for this recipe.

Add in Cinnamon Powder, Vitamin E Oil, Argan Oil, Olive Oil and Vanilla Oil ( if using).

Mix thoroughly and your hair mask is ready.

How to Use the Hair Mask?

Apply it on your hair and scalp and let it sit for at least 25 minutes.

Make sure to cover your strands from tip to roots.

Wrap a shower cap to prevent any possible dripping while you wait.

Wash off with a mild shampoo or herbal hair wash powder.

You can follow-up with a rice water rinse (I love the results when I do this)

Let your hair air-dry.

Why this Mask?

Vanilla is a naturally soothing scent and it helps soothe and calm you.

Rich in Vitamin A and Potassium Yellow Pumpkin can do wonders for your hair and promotes hair regrowth.

Cinnamon stimulates scalp circulation and promotes better hair and scalp. Also, the sweet and spicy aroma can leave your hair smelling good.

Last but not the least, this combination of the holiday ingredients leaves you upbeat and your hair healthy and shiny. It is not just an aromatic hair mask, but a nutritious and deep conditioning mask too.

You can use this mask once or even twice a week – especially if your hair is dry, dull or lifeless.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

I like to add a few Onions while pureeing Pumpkin along with a few pieces of Aloe Vera.

You can also add Coconut Water, Rose Water, Coconut Milk or Cream, Yogurt, or other ingredients to this recipe.

For those with dandruff, add a handful of Margosa leaves or powder to the Pumpkin pieces while pureeing it. This helps combat dandruff naturally.

You can also add a Garlic clove to the pack for combatting dandruff or to promote hair growth.

You can also add Hibiscus flowers, false daisy leaves, curry leaves, etc. to the recipe for added benefits.

Like every other recipe, feel free to add your unique touch to this and play around with the ingredients. This mask reminds you of the holiday season, but also make your hair soft, shiny and silky. With cinnamon and vanilla this mask will sure relax you and also remind of fond memories while you’re waiting out the pack soaking time.
